Cluster Bombs will be Eliminated
The international Red Cross is the organization that is on a constant lookout for things that can be harmful to the public. On Monday Red Cross has turned its attention to the dangers that the cluster bombs bring to the public. It has been noticed that children are often drawn to the cluster bombs, due to their bright colors, more so, the small parachute that is sometimes fastened to the cluster bomb serves as another attention grabber for the children.
The international Red Cross, as well as countries like Russia and USA have decided to decrease the use of the cluster bombs, or to eliminate the weapons altogether. Such a wave against the use of this type of weapon appeared as a result of the scattershot bombs that Israel dropped on Lebanon during its month long war. One of the main reasons of the danger of this weapon is the fact that the bomblets that are being used are incredibly tiny, and a large percentage of the bomblets that were dropped on Lebanon during the war didn`t explode and basically remain dangerous to the civilians.
Since a large amount of this deadly weapon remains in Lebanon, it is just waiting to be detonated. Obviously that the children are the most susceptible in a situation like that. Therefore, no matter how "popular" this weapon can be among the military officials, the time has come to put an end to its use. This is the opinion of numerous human rights organizations, and looks like some serious measures are finally going to be taken.
