Tamil Tigers Hold Peace Talks
Sri Lank, which has been marred by violence with years of civil war and infighting, is hoping to come to an agreement with the leaders of militant terorrist group Tamil Tigers.
According to Norwegian peace envoy, Jon Hannsen-Bauer, the parties have an "agreement in principle" to hold talks in Norway next month, after a dramatic return to violence on the island.
Hannsen-Bauer explains, "We have agreed that the LTTE will meet in Norway on the 8th and 9th of June to discuss the security of peace monitoring efforts."
