Senior Taliban Leaders Killed
The US Military has killed senior Taliban leaders according to a recent military report. The war against the Taliban has been raging since the US invasion after 9/11.
When Coalition ground forces arrived on the scene, they found further evidence of terrorist activity, including a large weapons cache and two concealed fighting positions, both containing explosives and heavy machine guns.
U.S. Army Lt. Col. Paul Fitzpatrick, a spokesman for Combined Joint Task Force 76, says, "This was a highly successful mission based on solid tactical intelligence and coordinated joint ground and indirect fires.
