New Footage Released of 9/11 Attacks
In light of an ongoing lawsuit, the U.S. Department of Defense on Tuesday released new footage of the terrorist attacks at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. The video, released as part of the Freedom of Information Act, is from inside the Pentagon?s outer walls and catches the subsequent blast and explosion resulting from American Airlines Flight 77.
However, it does not clearly show the plane itself crashing into the side of the Pentagon, as many had hoped. Video analysts, however, managed to isolate a still shot that showed the tip of the nose cone of the American Airlines plane before it hit the Pentagon, but to the average viewer its not discernible to the naked eye.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton says, ?We fought hard to obtain this video because we felt that it was very important to complete the public record with respect to the terrorist attacks of September 11.? The American Airlines Flight 77 crash, involved in the Pentagon attack has been the center to numerous conspiracy theories. Judicial Watch hopes the release of the video will put some of those issues to rest.
