Bangladesh Bomb Blast Kills Four
Officials say four died as the victims of a bomb blast in eastern Bangladesh after security forces raided a house there. The elite Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) says a senior member of the banned Jamaat-ul Mujahideen group was killed in the blast in the town of Comilla.
The deaths follow the recent arrests of group leader, Abdur Rahman and his deputy Siddiqul Islam. According to reports coming in, about 300 RAB personnel surrounded a home in Comilla, about 55 miles east of the capital, Dhaka.
That home was believed to be the hideout of Mollah Omar, a member of Jamaat-ul Mujahideen. A woman and two children were also killed in the explosion, though it is still unclear whether Mollah Omar detonated the blast.
