Heathrow Airport Needs Revamping
Heathrow Airport in the UK has been deemed out of date and needs to be replaced with a more modern and efficient facility. Officials believe plans to replace the 60 year old facility are in the works and that the airport needs to be replaced with something more modern.
An influential planning body recommended London`s Heathrow airport be replaced by a new long-haul facility.
BBC reports the suggestion is done to free-up land for needed housing and the creation of a new high-speed rail network.
The Town and Country Planning Association criticize Heathrow`s 60-year history as "a series of minor planning disasters that together make up one of the country`s truly great planning catastrophes."
