U.S. Raid in Iraq Questioned

The U.S. has closed the books on the investigation into a raid of militants in Iraq saying it was a justified military operation but the Iraqi government is calling for further investigation. An American military probe found no evidence of wrongdoing but the Iraq regime is questioning the purpose and validity of the raid.

According to the office of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, "We have from more than one source that the Ishaqi killings were carried out under questionable circumstances. More than one child was killed. This report was not fair for the Iraqi people and the children who were killed."

In response the U.S. military is saying that these charges are flase and that "they did not execute a family ... and then hid the alleged crimes by directing an air strike, are absolutely false."
