Iran Will Never Give Up Nuke "Rights"

The Iranian Foreign Minister has vowed that the Islamic Republic will never give up its "right" to enrich uranium. Manouchehr Mottaki believes Iran will never retreat from its "chosen path",saying "Iran began its peaceful nuclear activities to make use of its legal and natural right as a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

"Iran is continuing such activities under the watch of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and in accordance with this organization?s regulations. Mottaki added. "The decision by the Boards of Governors of the IAEA to refer the report on the issue of Iran?s nuclear work to the Security Council was a political one."

Meanwhile, Iran`s ambassador to the IAEA, Aliasghar Soltanieh, says, "Iran will not suspend its research activities in the field of enrichment. These activities will go on under the supervision of the IAEA." The U.S., Israel, European Union, Russia and China all agree that Iran`s pursuit of nuclear power poses a potential danger to security, but they disagree on how best to dissuade the Islamic Republic from ceasing activities.
