Four July 21 London attackers in police custody
Police officers in body armor, with some wearing gas masks and dark ski masks and others toting automatic rifles, stormed two apartment houses in west London on Friday and arrested three men in the failed bombing attempts on London`s transport network on July 21.The police said one of the men arrested had been identified as a suspected bomber.
Shortly afterward, the Italian interior minister said in Rome that the police there had arrested a Somali-born man with British citizenship, identified as Osman Hussain.
A statement from the minister, Giuseppe Pisanu, said the man was "the fourth attacker of July 21 in London."
The minister said the man had been seized in an "antiterror operation" that was ongoing. The four bombing suspects from July 21 have been identified in closed circuit television images. There was no immediate confirmation from the police of reports that the suspect caught in Rome had left Britain only in the past two days.
