Early Showing Of New NBC Shows On AOL

AOL is intended to show the debuts of the NBC series "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and "Twenty Good Years" a week before they will appear on the network. "Studio 60," a drama about the behind the scenes politics of a network comedy series, can be seen today on AOL, while "Twenty Good Years," a comedy about a couple of New Yorkers that believe they only have 20 years left to live, is set to be available online since October 4. Both shows are produced by Warner Brothers Television.

Lately major TV networks are using the Internet more and more to try to create a buzz around new shows. For instance, CBS announced last week that it would show the new primetime program "The Class" over TiVo`s TV service a week before the show`s network premier on September 18.

The show was available to people who also subscribed to TiVo`s broadband-enabled digital video recorder. AOL`s fall TV package also features video previews and other information on all 82 primetime shows across the TV networks.
