Apple Update Address Issue of MacBook Shutdown
For all webmasters out there, Apple has released new firmware software for MacBooks which should address the widely reported shutdown problem which affects many of its MacBook units. The new software, called MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.1 improves the MacBook?s internal monitoring system. It also addresses the various issues with unexpected shutdowns. This is good news to all involved. There will finally be an answer to this serious problem.
?This update is recommended for all MacBook systems, including those that received warranty repair,? Apple reiterated. Users need to have Mac OS X 10.4.7 or later in order to install the update. Once it is begun, the software must not be interrupted. The company has claimed the firmware update will mend the intermittent shutdown problem, which is caused by some heat sinks inaccurately gauging the Mac?s running temperature. This causes the computer to shutdown in order to protect it. Apple has been replacing the component in affected Macs until now.
Webmasters and Mac users will be happy to know that this software is finally available to save their MacBooks. As in automobiles and other products, many times there are defects in the finished product that cause for correction or mass recall to the manufacturer. Hopefully, with this new Apple update, the problem of automatic shutdown on the MacBooks will be solved and people will be able to continue working on their Mac?s without the frustration of sudden shutdowns.
