Video Advertising Doesn?t Bite
Following the Google-YouTube deal there has been talk of the incorporation of video advertising onto the site, but nowadays the business as a whole simply isn?t ripe enough, and web companies haven?t figured out yet how to make video advertising appealing to the public. Taking a look at Fortune 1000 companies, it seems that many have yet to make a successful transition to the web.
Obviously Google sees that there is money to be made following the acquisition of YouTube, and they must come up with a new way for advertisers to reach video viewers. Simply plastering a commercial onto the net will get advertisers nowhere, because viewers will disregard these images and words if they feel they are trying to be force-fed.
It is only a matter of time until someone comes up with the advertising solution, and it may be Google and YouTube who profit from it the most. In attempt to reach the masses, Google`s purchase sends it in the right direction, after beating other giants, such as Microsoft Corp., Yahoo and News Corp, to the YouTube goldmine.
