New Consoles Generation Is Born

Anyone that knows anything about consoles must have been pretty hyped to here about the new developments in that area. The $30 billion video game industry is going to shack and rattle with the introduction of the most anticipated PlayStation 3 by Sony. And as if that is not enough, archrival Nintendo has released its new console, Wii, on the same week. Two of the leading forces in the market release their new products in such a close timeframe is something that little of us remember. Starting from now, the world of home entertainment will never be the same again ? and we can`t wait.

As the holiday season approaches, consumers are eager to purchase a new gaming console. Parents are looking to buy their kids a new machine for the New Year, and all console fanatics can`t wait to get their hands on the new modals. Currently, the market is dominated by Sony and its PlayStation console, but Nintendo`s new machine looks very promising and Microsoft is also biting into the pie with its Xbox 360 machine. Sony is currently unable to answer the overwhelming demand for its new console, and analysts believe that the real benefit will go to Microsoft.

People looking to buy the new PlayStation 3 and won`t find an available unit, might spend their money on Microsoft`s Xbox 360, and even though Sony and Nintendo release their new machines, Microsoft will reap on the demand. Nintendo`s Wii doesn`t compete with the PlayStation for sheer computer power, but has many new features and interesting gadgets to offer players. Either way, the upcoming week and the ones to follow are going to be very interesting for video game fans around the world!
