Nintendo Brings the Internet into the Consoles World


Which is the better choice for a gamer? Is it a gaming console? Or should it be a PC? This question is often asked, and the answers for it vary greatly. There has always been a discussion on the pros and cons of gaming consoles vs. the home computer, and different people think different things, as always. On one issue, though, all agreed. Accessing the internet is something that only a PC knows how to handle well. Gaming console manufacturer Nintendo is now aiming at changing that very belief and the new Wii console comes with internet surfing capabilities.

The company announced that their new gaming console enables users with a broadband connection to the net, to access the internet. People will be able to surf the net and share photos with one another. This means that if gaming is your thing, but you still want the option to access the net and read the latest headlines, then Nintendo has just one you need. Nintendo is also planning to launch an online store that will be available through the console connection and will offer accessories and downloadable games for users.

Nintendo`s new Wii debuts this week and will go for up to $249.99 making it the most effordable gaming console in the market, with Sony and Microsoft both selling their gear for more than $400. Nintendo is trying to form a well-needed integration between the accessibility that a PC offers and the sheer gaming power that console bring. The new Wii is a very interesting product, but only time will tell if it can fact the gaming monsters from Nintendo`s powerful rivals.
