Microsoft Says New Windows is `Done`.
Some people found Microsoft`s announcement regarding Vista surprising, as we are used to delays and rescheduling. However, this time Microsoft is right on track and the new operating system is "Done", as the software giant announced on Wednesday. Windows Vista will be shipped to consumers on January 30, as planned. Jim Allchin, co-President of the division tat handles Windows in Microsoft, said that the actual code of the program is done, and has been sent for mass manufacturing.
The business version of Microsoft`s new operating system, Windows Vista, will be released on November 30 during a special event at the NASDAQ Stock Market. Windows Vista is the biggest update in five years, and will become the operating system of most personal computers in the world. And now, after too many delays and changes, it seems that Vista is really `just around the corner`.
Microsoft was keen on releasing the new operating system, and decided to cut back on its original goals. A new system of sorting and organizing files and data was supposed to be an integral part of Windows Vista, but Microsoft has decided to put that project aside for now. The current operating system, Windows XP, has been on the market for too long, and in the computer world, you must keep up with the pace. The new operating system does deliver many improvements, including better and more user friendly interface, a newer internet browser, and many other features that will make the experience of using Windows completely different.
