Google Keeps Fighting Microsoft Over Search Compatibility
Google, world leader in search engine platforms, keeps pressuring Microsoft to allow users full freedom in choosing their favorite search tool. Microsoft`s MSN Live Search competes against Google`s search engine, and Google believes that Microsoft will use its dominance in the personal computer world and force users to prefer MSN Live Search instead of other search options. Users today, are excepting their operating system to have internet search capabilities, and Google wants Microsoft to allow people to use Google`s product as easy as they can use those promoted by Microsoft.
Although Microsoft already made several changes to their internet browsing software, Internet Explorer 7, and to their next operating system, Windows Vista, Google is not willing to say whether those changes are adequate or not. Users can now use both Internet Explorer 7 with MSN Live or Google. In fact, they can use any search engine they like. Google`s senior Vice President spoke to representatives of the European Union Antitrust Regulation board, but did not comment on the content of these talks.
Google is not at ease, and so should it be. Microsoft is known for using its monopolistic power over the personal computer world in order to beat down opponents in other markets. Google is familiar with the famous case of Netscape, which suffered great losses as a result of Windows 95`s integration with Internet Explorer, and plans to keep fighting Microsoft on this issue.
