Playstation 3 to Hit Hong Kong Earlier

The highly anticipated gaming console, Playstation 3, will hit markets in Asia sooner than previously thought, as Sony Corporation announced last week. Sony previously cut back on Playstation 3`s international launch dates of the new console, but now expanded them again. Fans will be able to purchase the simple version of the console, caring a hard drive with 20GB, starting November 11, and can find the more expensive version, that comes with a 60GB hard drive, starting November 17.

The console will be available in Hong Kong only until the 17th, and will sell for about $500 for the 60GB model. Starting November 17, European and Australian fans can get their hands on a piece as well. Playstation 3 is Sony`s first console release in six years, and will compete against Microsoft`s Live Xbox over the gaming console market. Playstation is currently the most popular gaming console in the world, and the anticipation for the third addition to the series is overwhelming.

Usually, judging from previous launches, the Asian market enjoys such products only after Europe and the United States. Sony has chosen a different approach this time for some reason. The corporation was not available to comment on the issue, but that isn`t really important. The important thing for millions of fans around the world is ? Playstation 3 is just around the corner. Sony has previously announced that due to components shortage, some reigns will have to wait until March for the Playstation 3, and hopefully the corporation has found a way around the situation.
