Internet Explorer`s New Version Finally Here

It took more than five years, and five beta versions, but it is now officially here ? Microsoft`s new Internet Explorer. Version 7 comes with many new tricks under its well designed hat. Microsoft is not alone anymore, and with Mozilla`s Firefox gaining popularity among online surfers, the Redmond-based software giant realized that changes are necessary. Internet Explorer 7 is all about security. There have been many security issues with the previous IE, and Microsoft is aiming at changing the way people think about their Internet Explorer.

The internet has been changing drastically over the last few years, and people expected their internet browser to evolve accordingly. When Internet Explorer 6 did not provide them with an answer, Firefox offered an alternative. Currently Microsoft holds 86 percent of the internet browsing market in the United States, as opposed to 93 percent two years ago. Internet Explorer 7`s objective is to regain Microsoft`s market share.

The new version looks very different from the obsolete IE6. Tab-browsing technology that was used in Firefox for years now is now available in IE7. The graphical design is very different and will work seemingly with the new Vista. However, the most important aspect of IE7 is online security. Microsoft will offer users frequent security updates, and will help them keep their computer safe form malicious online attacks. IE7 is available for free download from Microsoft`s site.
