Dell Google Alliance Signed on Thursday

Dell, the number one computer maker, will install Google`s software on its systems to bust Google`s competition with Microsoft, as said on Thursday. Google Desktop will become a part of Dell`s systems, the application contains personal computing applications, a tool bar carrying the Google brand and a co-branded Internet home page. This deal strengthens business relationship between the companies and gives Google a competitive age over Microsoft.

Eric Schmidt, chief executive over at Google, told investors "This is the first of several agreements and there`s probably more to come." Both companies will share earnings from the new deal, but specific financial details were not disclosed. "We`re doing this because we feel the tools will help the customers search and organize digital information quickly and easily right out of the box," said Blackburnm from Dell.

Microsoft used its leverage over the computer industry to force its own software into computer makers system, and now it seems that Google is following it is archrival`s approach. This deal makes Google the software of choice for millions of clients that use Dell systems. Dell also benefits from this deal. In the past year, Dell`s market share has shrunk as a result of competitors dropping prices, and now by aligning itself with the Internet`s most powerful search engine it hopes to regain its lost share.
