Yahoo Goes Web 2.0

Yahoo has issued its "Web 2.0" user experience with the launch of its new site. Yahoo has remodeled the entire web portal and users can take a peek at the new Yahoo today. The site brings a new user interface with more appealing graphic design and improved ease of use. Yahoo has put the AJAX technology into use in considerable large sections of the site, and most content of the page is automatically refreshed all the time.

As Internet News first reported in March when the new look went up for select users, the re-design also places Yahoo`s search bar much higher up on the front page. The new look helps explain the evolving Web as a search and information platform, otherwise dubbed Web 2.0, thanks to the use of AJAX-driven Web applications.

AJAX, which enables Web sites to update a browser page without the need to reload the entire page, is all the rage in the developer world right now.
AJAX has the ability to make browser-based or Web applications perform as if they`re running on a user`s computer or client, instead of from another Web server. In addition, although some voices in the Web development world may consider AJAX not quite ready for prime time, developers at Yahoo might beg to differ.
