File Sharing Software Celebrates New Version
The peer-to-peer file-sharing software, Morpheus, is celebrating its 5th anniversary and the software developer StreamCast Network decided to release Morpheus version 5.2 for the occasion. Morpheus was used for more than 150 million downloads, and is considered one of the most popular file-sharing applications in the world.
Millions of Morpheus users can now easily search and subscribe to a plethora of podcasts via the new Morpheus 5.2, providing a consumer-friendly podcasting experience with advanced organizational features including the ability to sync podcasts with their iTunes library for easy transferring to iPods and other MP3 players. ?We?re making it easier, more convenient, and cost effective than ever for podcasters, video creators and self publishers to join the Morpheus revolution by taking advantage of this robust content distribution network provided to them at no cost," said Michael Weiss, CEO of Morpheus.
Coinciding with the introduction of Morpheus 5.2 and for the first time in five years, StreamCast is introducing a new software product, the Morpheus? Tool Bar?, an enhanced version of Morpheus which is intended to enable users to easily integrate P2P search and file-sharing features into their Web browsing experience. The Morpheus Toolbar? is a small software application that quickly and easily adds P2P functionality to either an IE or Firefox browser. From their desktop, users can quickly go from searching multiple P2P networks including NEOnet?, Gnutella and Bit Torrent to searching the web with the simple click of the mouse.
