New Online Callback Software Released by Bitwalker

The Japanese Bitwalker released its Boomerang Callback system this week. The system enables people who visit a site to place their phone numbers and have a site`s representative callback immediately. The Boomerang Callback system does not require any special software to be installed. For the user of a website it can be used as a global free dial system, and can alleviate the frustrations of email and text based chatting with sales and support staff.

The Boomerang Callback System is suitable for use on online shopping sites, hotel and travel agency websites, internet auctions and even blogs. In fact Boomerang callback links can even be sent by email! Telephony integration is provided via the Boomerang desktop client and the wildly popular Skype VOIP software. Skype`s renowned low cost and high call quality, combined with Boomerang`s rich suite of functions, mean that legacy web callback systems are obsolete.

Boomerang incorporates instant messaging style presence technology, to determine if an operator is available or not. If an operator is busy, the call request is queued, the visitor is informed of their position on the queue, and when the operator becomes available, the call request is forwarded on. Basic information about the person requesting the call is passed on to the operator, including their name and country. However, a host of usages for the system is exposed by the ability for web site administrators to set custom fields. These custom fields could include product names, affiliate codes or login IDs.
