Milestone Reached for One Software Group

Regardless of what business you own, hitting the 100,000 user or buyer mark is a true achievement. It is also the best indication of a successful business. When it comes to the world of software, competition among companies is great. There are plenty of companies who develop similar products, and thus, being successful among such vast competition is truly an amazing milestone. REAL Software, provider of REALbasic, cross-platform that really works, announced this week at their annual user conference that REALbasic is celebrating the major milestone achievement of 100,000 users. Ken Houghes, a developer with Vesta Technology, is being honored as REALbasic?s 100,000th user.

?This is an important event in our company?s path to success and we?re very pleased to introduce our 100,000th user, Mr. Ken Houghes,? stated Geoff Perlman, president and CEO of REAL Software. ?We also want to express thanks to our 99,999 other users on all platforms who have helped create a supportive and enthusiastic community since we first shipped REALbasic in 1998.? REAL Software reached this major milestone on February 11, 2006, when Ken Houghes purchased REALbasic for Windows through the company?s online store to become the 100,000th user.

Mr. Perlman contacted Mr. Houghes to break the news and tell him the company would be offering him REALbasic Professional Edition licenses for each of the three platforms REALbasic supports, Windows, Macintosh and Linux. When asked how he felt about being singled out for the honor, Mr. Houghes exclaimed, ?It was really great, getting the REALbasic Pro keys, and to hear from Geoff Perlman. I?m really looking forward to working with REALbasic.?
