Communication Company Vonage to Release Internet Phone
As technology develops and online phone services become widely available, more and more people are turning to the internet for their phone communication needs. Internet company Vonage Holdings Corp. will unveil a plug-in device that turns a computer into a phone this week. There are many devices of that sort on the market already, but Vonage Holdings is aiming for a business segment of the market. No official word from Vonage has been made about this week`s release, but speculations indicate that the product will hit the market later this week.
Customers are always looking for simple ways of communicating using the internet and the new product offers an easy and convenient way to perform phone calls using your internet connection. The device, dubbed the V-phone, will use software embedded on a memory card drive and allow users to make calls using their laptop or desktop computers.
$40 will be the price of the new product, which is similar to products made by other companies, and Vonage Chairman Jeffery Citron says the product will be aimed at business travelers. If you like to use the new product, then you will have to sign up for Vonage calling plan before plugging the new device into your laptop.
