ABC Free Online Broadcasting Service a Success

Walt Disney reports that their prime-time TV series that were broadcasted online had been watch for more than 11 million times. ABC is offering free broadcasts of their popular prime-time series online and the new service seems promising.
During the broadcast, ABC displays commercial like in any other commercial television broadcasts, and 87 percent of the people reported that they remember the advertisers that sponsored the episodes they were watching. That`s more than twice than the number of people who recall advertisers while watching TV.
Walt Disney plans to expand the free service and will offer more shows for free streaming. The new version of the site will integrate tools that will help ABC monitor the number of people and the success rate of the enterprise. With millions of people downloading series for free through all sorts of file-sharing applications, offering free streaming for the public is the best choice for media companies to fight online piracy.
