MySpace is Looking for Search Partners

MySpace is one of the biggest social networking sites on the Internet with millions of people sharing content with each other. News Corp announced that MySpace will handover all search functions on the site to one of the major search engines, such as Yahoo, MSN or Google. News Corp, which bought MySpace last year, said that this is the best way to monetize the popular site.

MySpace is one of the most visited sites on the Internet, and millions of Internet users browse the site every day. The problem is that search options on the site are not that dominate and it`s hard finding what you`re looking for among all available resources. Integrating one of the known search engines into the site will give users a much easier way of finding what they need, and an overall better online experience.

News Corp also said that they believe it`s too late to make any significant impact on the search market, and therefore aren`t planning to use their own algorithms and technologies. Making a strategic combination with one of the leading search companies will make a better business move.
