Google Releases New Updates for Online Mapping Tools

People how like to use Google`s mapping tools will be happy to learn that the online service provider has announced on Monday that new updates are currently being released. Google has release new versions of its Google Earth application and updates all of it`s mapping tools as well. There are many upgrades in the new version, with improved satellite imagery in Google Earth, and a much larger expansion of available locations.

Since the launch of Google`s mapping tool one year ago, more than 100 million people have already downloaded the applications, with more downloads being carried out daily. Google CEO Eric Schmidt hailed the company`s mapping products as "one of the defining opportunities around search." Four times more land is covered in the latest version of Google Earth. The new version covers more than one-third of the world`s population`s homes and neighborhood.

Google has also expanded the number of supported foreign languages with German, Spanish, French and Italian available. Linux fans will finally be able to enjoy Google Earth as the new version supports the open source operation system. Google products are gaining popularity and many users choose their applications for home use. Google isn`t satisfied with their dominate over the online search market and wants to make more headway in other fields as well.
