YouTube Also Thinks Channels is the Way

The fight over the online video content world is heating up with YouTube answering Yahoo`s initiative to offer channeled video content, with there own channeling scheme. Yahoo announced that they plan to take a different approach for online video consuming, and that offering users channels with themed video content is the way to go. Apparently, YouTube thinks they are right.

YouTube offers its members to create their own channels and offer their own creations or other content. Each user is able to open a channel and decided what content will be on that channel. YouTube believes that the change will encourage the formation of virtual communities around successful channels.

Another new feature on YouTube is that users are able to upload a video as a response to an already existing video content on a channel. That way relevant content will be linked easily and users will be able to find content that they like much faster. YouTube is currently dominating the online video content community, but Yahoo has not said its final word just yet. Yahoo`s channel system is not up and running yet and we will have to wait and see who will bring us the best online experience.
