9 MM Thick Mobile Phone By Motorola

Motorola`s brand of thin mobile phones is old news already. However, now the company releases the thinnest cell phone it ever made, the MotoFone. Along with the thinnest mobile phone, six other cellular phones were unveiled this week at the Schaumburg, Ill., company`s annual financial analysts` day. The new phone is 9 millimeters thick and includes a flat keypad.

One of the new mobile phones that were introduced at the meeting was the MotoKrzr, which is based on the design of the popular MotoRazr. Motorola`s success in the mobile phones market was gained mostly thanks to this phone. Motorola also unveiled the MotoRizr, its first handset with a sliding cover.

As was said at the event, Motorola plans to purchase Broadbus Technologies Inc., which provides technology for television on demand. Motorola`s plans are to use Broadbus to expand its video delivery platform with new content management and distribution capabilities, improving the platform for mobile video, video on-demand, time-shifted TV, network-based digital video recording, on-demand ad insertion and switched digital video. Motorola is the second largest maker of mobile phones, after Nokia Corp which is number 1.
