Google Search Engine on Microsoft Windows

A new era has come to the Microsoft Windows world. From now on, according to Microsoft Corp. computer making companies will be able to set Google or any other of the search engines that does not belong to Microsoft as the default search service on the Windows operating system. Microsoft has decided to promote a healthy competition and therefore the new version of its leading operating system will allow to computer manufacturers to run rival search devices as a default.

At first, Microsoft planed to set a search service which would compete with Google, the leader of the search engines. However, these intentions have caused concern that it will cause a serious battle between the two companies, as it was between Microsoft and Netscape browser in the late 1990s. For that reason in the new Vista version of the Windows operating system all search devices are allowed. Vista is about to be released to business clients first, in November, and to all the others in January.

Also, according to Microsoft, there will be no problem for computer manufacturers to choose non-Microsoft software. Moreover, Microsoft will help third party software developers and customers. However, most of the Microsoft critics are very skeptical about all this. We will have to wait and see.
