Kodak`s Expensive Dual-lens Camera

Those who like to take photos (and do it frequently) often face the annoying case when the camera cannot quite capture the whole scenery or fit everyone into a group picture. In order to succeed in such occasions, one needs a wide-angle lens, but it`s mostly available for higher-end, single-lens reflex cameras, and the ones with interchangeable lenses. In the case of a compact camera with built-in lenses, it`s probably better to use a regular lens because that`s what is used most of the time.

These days Kodak launches its new dual-lens digital camera, EasyShare V570, which it calls the first one in the world. For normal shots and close-ups, the regular lens is used, which comes with 3x optical zoom. For wider views, the camera automatically switches to the wide-angle lens, thus it can be considered as two cameras in one.

It is quite easy to use and picture quality is adequate. Its internal memory stores 17 shots at the maximum 5 mega pixel size, and you can buy an SD or MMC flash-memory card for additional photos storage. With the wide angle, it is possible to boost the field of vision by about two-thirds. The photos can be easily transferred into a computer and the software that comes with the camera can automatically send photos to Kodak`s photo-sharing site.
