Microsoft Will Not Support Win 98 and ME
More than 70 million Windows users will not get software security updates anymore. If you are still using an older Operating System on your computer(Windows 98 or Windows ME), now is the time to reconsider the possibility to move on to a newer one. And the reason for that is crystal-clear: Microsoft Corp. is closing down the support for these OSes, which means, among other things, that Microsoft won`t deliver security patches.
However do the people who still use such an old Windows version really care about installing the security updates on time even when those are available? Statistically, the vast majority of the visits on this site are made by the new Windows editions (Win XP, Win 2000, etc), so if you are reading this post, the chances that this support stop will influence you directly are very low.
Nevertheless, if you are one of those millions who still live in the past, you better start thinking about getting yourself a new Windows version such as Windows XP, or consider switching to a Mac.
