Place Your Computer In the Deep Freezer

There is a new solution for computer users who have others using their laptops or desktops. Generally speaking, when people use a computer they save items and gather cookies by surfing the web. Imagine never have to worry about any viruses attacking your hard drive, no spyware being downloaded and best of all, your computer remaining in the same condition as it was last time you used it. Deep Freeze provides protective capabilities to individual PCs by remembering and restoring their configurations to a known, clean state each time the machine is restarted.

Users are free to make any changes they wish to the machine while they are working on it, all changes are wiped clean and the system is restored the next time the PC is restarted. Deep Freeze is offered in three primary versions: Standard, Professional, and Enterprise. Additionally, specific, and separate versions are provided for Mac OS X machines (which integrates with Apple Remote Desktop) and Windows 2000/2003 Servers. Features of Deep Freeze Standard include a password required for administrative functions, supports multiple hard drives and partitions, includes SCSI, ATA, SATA, and IDE hard drive support, supports FAT, FAT32, NTFS, basic and dynamic disks, protects the master boot record and supports multi-boot environments, silent Install System for network deployment, can also be deployed as part of a master image.

To this base feature set, Deep Freeze Professional adds scheduled maintenance capabilities, allowing for the designation of maintenance intervals for the processing of Windows updates or customized batch files. Workstations can be controlled via network-broadcast-based command line controls, and a "ThawSpace" utility allows for the creation of areas where files and data can be saved. Custom installation options allow for the pre-configuring of Deep Freeze, and a one-time password generation system is included. Finally, Deep Freeze Enterprise includes all the aforementioned features, and additionally includes features tailored for the remote (LAN, WAN, Internet), centralized deployment and management of large numbers of Deep Freeze PCs.
