New Authentication Solution for Webmasters
Many webmasters face the dilemma of authentication when providing their website visitors with payment and other financial options. On the one hand a webmaster would like to supply ease of use and allow easy authentication adoption for customers. Unless the webmaster works for an extremely large financial institution, bank-side integration isn`t a possibility. Many authentication services are extremely difficult to configure and even the most qualified webmaster could use a simple platform for configuration, and last but not least, every webmaster working on a budget needs to cut costs.
For that reason Comodo Group, an American computer software company and SSL certificate provider based in Jersey City, New Jersey, developed a new two-factor authentication solution for the mid-market, based on a usability study. Comodo was founded in 1998. The group provides a Firewall and AntiVirus programs free of charge, as well as, Anti-Spam, Back-Up, and Anti-Phishing, along with various other software, which are also free from their website.
"We`ve witnessed an important transition in how financial institutions value authentication technology," Comodo President and CEO, Melih Abdulhayoglu, said. Adding: "Whereas in the past, organizations tended to make investments to meet the basic requirements, now these institutions are able to move up to a best practices approach that can enhance customer satisfaction but be highly secure and cost effective. This authentication model is best delivered by a Certification Authority because our core competency is to enable authenticated, sensitive transactions which can be trusted by all parties."
