Fan Uses Internet to Steal Rock Star`s Private Information
Not so long ago, the only thing that celebrities had to worry about was obsessed fans that might find out where they live, hide near their house, or scenarios of this sort. However, as the internet progress and computers become a larger part of our lives, there are new dangers out there, and celebrities are not immune. A 27-year-old woman was arrested for using the internet in order to dig up personal information about the rock group Linkin Park`s lead singer, Chester Bennington.
The woman used a computer at a national laboratory to hack into one of the cell phone companies` site. She obtained documents that contain personal information about Bennington such as the phone numbers that he called, the number of his private cell phone, and digital photos taken by his phone. The woman also hacked into Bennington`s wife email address and even called her twice. Her lawyer said that investigators are still analyzing her computer, and its too soon to know what will be the charges.
The woman was released into her mother`s custody as investigators build the case against her. The suspect used a computer at her former work place, Sandia National Laboratories, and the computer being is analyzed by the police. This is the online version of a stocking fan. The internet is a very powerful source of information, and it`s known that some people use it illegally. This is a clear case where the privacy of Bennington was violated by the woman, however, it`s interesting to learn what will be the exact charges.
