Study Shows France to be Most Blogged in Europe
The United States-based Forrester Research published a new study that indicates that French internet users have been busy. There are more bloggers in French than in any other European country and with nearly one million bloggers ? the French web is hectic and very busy. "France today is still the country that blogs the most, with nearly one million active bloggers," the study said. Although the French public seems to love blogs, only three percent of Europe`s online users open and manage blogs. There are about 130 million internet users in all of Europe, but blogs does not seem to be their top priority.
The details regarding the blogging situation in France is based on some 7,377 online consumers from seven countries. Bloggers were statistically younger than other online users and are keener at adopting new technologies as well. Not surprisingly. Perhaps when users that are slower in adopting new platforms become accustom to blogs, the number of European bloggers will increase. 80 percent of bloggers are considered as highly-busy users, and they are frequently online.
Bloggers are also spending more time online than other users, with 16 hours on average per week. They perform more activities during their time online, and connect with more people. Blogs are considered community sites as people are able to comment, and express their thoughts and creative needs on their personal pages. The blog-ridden net is a very different place than the `normal` cyber space, and as more people turn to blogs the net will change even more.
