Audioengine 5`s New iPod Speakers
As many other iPod users you have probably were in situations when you would like to share your iPod music with other. However passing your headphones around the room does not seem a very convenient option. A better solution would be to attach the iPod to a set of speakers. And the best iPod speakers out there are definitely the new Audioengine 5?s.
At a first glance, the Audioengine 5?s look very conventional.
They include a pair of similar looking bookshelf speakers dressed in a white finish, which matches the iPod look. They both might look alike, however when you lift them, you will notice that the left speaker (14 pounds) is much heavier than the right one(9 lbs.). That?s because the amplifiers for both channels (45 watts/ch.) are stuffed inside. The speakers have an iPod dock of sorts on top of the left speaker. There?s a USB port for charging your iPod and a mini-jack audio input for the sound.
Audioengine 5?s come with everything you need: all sorts of cables to connect a myriad of portable devices, a wire to attach the right channel speaker and a heavy-duty power cord. And the sound they produce is much better than other speakers or even expensive stereo systems.
