WebAward Competition is Open for Entries
The 10th WebAward Competition is on its way, and The Web Marketing Association is calling for entries. The WebAward competition is the standard making benchmark for the industry, and values a site by seven criteria. The game industry represents an important category in the WebAward competition, and the Web Marketing Association will again be honoring the Best Game Web site of 2006. The deadline for entry is May 31, 2006.
?The online and electronic game industry is very competitive when it comes to Web development and they can benefit from the independent evaluation of their online efforts that the award judges provide,? said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. ?The WebAwards is different from other Web site award programs because we?re not just a beauty pageant focused on name recognition and design. The goal of the WebAwards is to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective Web sites on the Internet today. The goal also is to provide valuable feedback to entrants on how their sites stack up against their peers and industry standards of excellence.?
Some of the past WebAwards Best Game Website winners are SOCOM II, Navy SEALs, Disney Hot Shot Business, and Disney`s Blast. Complete list of past winners and the entry for companies who wish to compete for 2006 honors can be found at Game WebAward website.
