OzWebFX Release New Australian Homepage

A new Web site has been created by OzWebFX called `The Australian Million Dollar Homepage`. This site has fully copied the original `The Million Dollar Homepage` which was first made by a 21-year-old British entrepreneur who hopes to pay his entire university tuition by selling 1 million pixels of advertising space at $1 a piece. He also hopes to become a millionaire along the way.

Despite the original site being on line for only a short time it has made a significant amount of money and has sparked a wave of copycat sites across the world. The creator, Alex Tew, from Wiltshire, England, does say on his site when asked if he was worried about copy-cats/rip-offs that, `Not at all. It is bound to happen (this is the Internet after all). They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and I say good luck to the imitators!`

Following the spirit of his words Richard Ellender, a web designer from Melbourne, Australia and owner of ozwebfx, has created his own site, Million Dollar Homepage, which works in exactly the same manner. The only difference perhaps, is that the Australian site is priced in Australian Dollars, making it slightly cheaper to advertise.

Richard, 40, commented, `The Australian Million Dollar Homepage will be a great advertising platform for any Australian based business to reach a fresh audience. The objective of the site is to help advertisers reach millions of potential customers. By riding the waves of a craze currently sweeping the web and by using advanced search engine optimisation techniques this site will soon have a very high page ranking. Of course the prime aim is to sell all the pixels and therefore rake in a Million Bucks but I am experimenting with search engine optimization techniques and researching internet trends.`
