AppSite Offers VPN to its Customers

A dedicated hosting provider for small to medium businesses, AppSite Hosting, has added a new product to their line enabling customers to add another layer of protection against Internet data theft. This Cisco-based product will allow clients to create secure communication channels to their hosted server environment. What is this new product? It is called Virtual Private Network (VPN) and it offers both site-to-site and client-to-site VPN services.

`Many of our customers are moving to a distributed model and need a secure data communications channel. Using a VPN to connect to their server environment allows remote employees to access email, corporate data and other sensitive data over the Internet without fear of someone eavesdropping on the conversation,` said Harris.
