WebAssist Generates Sites in Seconds
WebAssist made available the easiest way for professional web designers and developers to create entire, fully-customizable websites. WA SiteAssist is a new extension for Macromedia Dreamweaver that outputs a completely integrated site structure. A three-step wizard guides users through the process and offers them a range of site types, each complete with a variety of professionally crafted page layouts, CSS styles, navigation set-ups and color schemes. Once the site is generated, designers add the desired content and are ready to publish.
WA SiteAssists easy to use wizard belies the power and sophistication of the tool. By mixing and matching the various design elements layouts, styles, navigation and colors designers can create a completely personalized site, automatically. A full slate of page types, also known as information architecture wireframes, are included as well. Users can easily change a selected page from a text-based layout to one that combines images and text. New pages can be added at point in the site and corresponding links are automatically added. Both standard, so-called static sites, as well as dynamic, database-driven sites can be created.
One of the key advances with SiteAssist is that the graphics and CSS are matched together in a single color family that can be changed in the wizard. When designers change a color scheme, there is a rich transformation of the layout, including standard CSS color updates for page elements like fonts and backgrounds as well as graphical elements.
