1PlanHost Helps Hurricane Victims
1PlanHost has announced that during the month of September, it will be donating 10% of all new account subscriptions and existing renewals to help the citizens of New Orleans and the surrounding areas. In addition, this leading Windows web hosting services provider has waived all fees for its customers affected by Hurricane Katrina`s devastation.
`It would be unrealistic to expect our customers in New Orleans and the gulf coast area to have to worry about their web site hosting accounts expiring,` said Darrell Williams, CEO of WebWeavers Internet Services, 1PlanHost`s parent company. `They are struggling to feed themselves and their families - we`re not going to add additional stress.` According to the American Red Cross, the need for national support will be required for many coming months. Insurance claims have been estimated to exceed $26 billion, and officials insist the rebuilding of infrastructure and housing will take years.
In addition to waiving the hosting fees of affected customers, the company will donate 10% of revenue from all new web hosting account sales and renewals during the month of September 2005. `We will evaluate the response and need at the end of September to determine if this donation program should be extended,` said Williams.
1PlanHost is encouraging companies with customers in the affected areas to follow in its footsteps and waive hosting costs for customers hit by the storm. `The industry`s most reputable hosting companies truly are customer centric and are willing to help out when a severe need arises,` said Williams.
