Uplinkearth Donates to Katrina Relief Effort
Uplinkearth has decided to donate money to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. This international, award-winning Windows web hosting provider has promised to donate to the Web Hosts Unite program to help those left in the aftermath of this tragic disaster.
The Red Cross currently has 239 evacuation shelters operating in states affected by the disaster, housing roughly 37,000 people. `It`s very important to empathize with people affected by this. Their lives will never be the same,` said Yablonowitz.
`Hundreds of thousands have lost their homes, their belongings, and some even lost their life in the aftermath of this storm. The time has come for the world to unite and support the victims,`said Mike Yablonowitz, uplinkearth President and CEO. `Those who are in a position to help are obligated to do so, which is why we have decided to give our full support of the relief efforts.` Uplinkearth has made an initial pledge of financial resources, and is donating free hosting services to the program`s website. All funds are donated directly to the American Red Cross, who is actively participating in relief efforts for victims. The company has also created a website to serve as a portal for its customers who wish to donate.
