Video-Game 101
In the old days, college courses consisted of creative writing, philosophy, economics, and calculus. Today, college reminds new students of a video arcade. With courses offered in video games, university academia has taken on a whole new face.
Over 25 universities throughout the U.S. are now offering video-game related courses in response to the gaming industry`s search for more skilled workers. Students are able to take classes such as Animation, Cognition and Gaming, and Computer Music.
Though many universities have yet to implement similar classes, schools like the University of Washington are hopeful more schools will catch on in a few years. It seems, video games, not higher learning, are the wave of the future. So lives the technology age.
