RMS Communications Makes Conrad Melancon Vice President of Sales
RMS Communications is a company that collects used cell phones, recycles them, and re-markets them throughout the entire world. It also provides these phones to law enforcement officials free of charge, shelters and other organizations of 911 phone services. Last January, Conrad Melancon was named Director of Business Development of RMS. He will oversee sales and marketing for RMS nationwide, and has been officially named the Vice President of Sales.
Melancon`s original duties involved expanding RMS` network of agents and program participants throughout California and the rest of the nation. `We`re excited to be able to expand Conrad`s oversight and responsibility,` said James Mosieur, RMS chief executive officer. Conrad was able to prove himself very quickly after he was brought on earlier this year, and were delighted to be able to give him an even bigger challenge as RMS grows.
Melancon was hired in California, where one of his first assignments was overseeing the establishment of Recycle for California, an RMS initiative aimed at providing Californians with a way to comply with a new state law requiring phone retailers to have no-cost take-back and recycling programs in place by 2006. The program was so successful that it almost immediately grew into a nationwide initiative, Recycle For US, which Melancon also directed. He now will oversee all of the company`s marketing and sales efforts, including the company`s various web site activities.
