Shoutcast Control Panel Features from SCPanel

This holiday season, SCPanel has decided to release the first of many new features. Automatically zipped and compressed Shoutcast listener access logs will be released by SCPanel. Every 24 hours, these logs will be compiled into one archive automatically. Users will be able to utilize the various options available such as: deleting the zip archive, downloading it, having the archive automatically emailed to him at the end of month, or automatically removing it.

Radio stations with hundreds of listeners, will also see a large disk space reduction as the logs will be routinely cleaned, compressed, and made available for download. SCPanel plans to announce several more new features in the coming weeks involving on-demand streaming, intro files, and more.

This feature will benefit radio hosts by allowing potential radio advertisers to view the listener statistics of a Shoutcast radio. The logs in this format can easily be analyzed to determine listener demographics, peak listener times and so forth. Radios supported by on-air advertising will have a much easier job attracting new advertisers and establishing advertising rates.
