KUA and New Smyrna Communications Join Forces



New Smyrna Communications and the Kissimmee Utility Authority have joined forces in order to offer affordable, flat-rate calling plans to small business customers and residential ones in central Florida. Keeping up with the times, KUA is proving to provide its customers with everything they need in a utility company.

Founded in 1901, KUA is Florida`s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric and telecommunication services to 170,000 residents in five Central Florida counties. Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA), reached a major milestone on November 22nd, 2005 with the signing of its 4,000th telephone subscriber.

The utility began offering local and long distance telephone service in February 2004 to residents of Osceola and Orange counties. Residential calling plans range from $24.95 - $72.95 per month and include local and long distance calling as well as popular features like call waiting, call forwarding, call block, speed dialing and voice mail.
