Specialized Electronics Websites for China by EE Times-China



Now there are new websites for the Chinese electronic market. Electronic Engineering Times-China has launched three websites specializing in electronics for China-based designers of media players, cell phones, and automotive electronics. The sites provide daily breaking news, new product reports and technical features in simplified Chinese. They also host online forums for China-based engineers to discuss design issues in these high-growth sectors.

30,000 engineers pre-registered for cell phone, media player and automotive electronics design website. Saunderson said: `These are the first design sites in China to focus on these applications. More than 30,000 engineers have pre-registered for site access since September. The sites also enable technology companies to reach specific design communities in China, and the influencers in those communities.`

China produces more than 45 percent of the world?s cell phones and 90 percent of its DVD players. China`s production of in-car electronics is growing by about 28 percent annually. EE Times-China publisher Mark Saunderson said: `China-based engineers face growing pressure from manufacturers to develop innovative, cost-effective designs and reduce time to market. The new sites are a comprehensive online source of the methodologies and technology that designers need to succeed.`
