New website aims to deny terrorists psychological gains

The "We`re Not Afraid" website was begun in the wake of the Underground and bus bombings in London on July 7 which killed well over 50 people. Recent evidence pointed to four British citizens being the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks.

By 10 a.m. last Monday, four days after the blasts, about 3,500 images had been submitted and more than 1,000 posted on the site. The photos show people, pets or London landmarks, all with the added message that "We are not afraid." One photo even showed the famous London Underground sign doctored to say "We are not afraid". Website designer Alfie Dennen said some 250,000 people had visited the site since it was begun.

The site is currently running on free space given to the designers by One and One Internet for a month, but the "We`re Not Afraid" team is looking for a dedicated server to make the site a permanent statement to all who seek to carry out terrorists attacks that their acts will always be carried out in vain.
