Making A New Forum Look Busy

They are all wondering why their new forums, are not being populated by a rush of hungry posters. The truth is a forum takes time to develop into a member community that people will continue to visit. If your forum looks like a ghost town then why would people bother to return?
In this article I will describe two tricks that many successful forum administrators have used to make their new communities look busy. It is actually a simple process that some swear they would never result too. The process deals with purchasing traffic and recruiting moderators!

Yes that is right, purchase traffic to make your forum look busy. This is a good idea because first, it allows for a steady flow of traffic to be sent directly to your site and second, you will have the potential chance for new member signups at the same time. Now your asking yourself what type of traffic should you purchase? Most people are going to tell you to purchase targeted traffic, I totally disagree with that recommendation. As an experienced traffic reseller I say you purchase untargeted traffic because it is cheaper and you can buy more of it without breaking the bank! Your main goal is to make your forum look busy. Who cares where the traffic is coming forum. Setup a monthly budget of how much it will cost to send traffic to your forum on a daily basis. Twenty dollars a month should be enough to send a steady amount of untargeted traffic to your forum on a daily basis. To find a decent traffic seller do a simple search on google and you will find plenty of them. Make sure to test their services out before you decide to purchase a bulk amount of traffic.

The next trick that can be used to make your forum look busy is to recruit moderators for your site to jumpstart the activity on your forum. Who cares that you have no members and barely have any threads! There will always be someone who is willing to moderate a forum! Moderators are unique people that can see foresee the future of your forum. When you contact them dont explain why you barely have any members! Dont even talk about why your forum is riddled with ghosts, because they dont care. True forum moderators look at the big picture and realize that any forum has the potential to become active. Tell the moderators that you will provide them with free advertising if they post on a daily basis and help recruit new members to the forum. You need to find people that are on the Internet at least 4-6 hours a day. They must be familiar with the forum script that you are using and willing to work hard to make the forum a better place. Try and choose moderators that are fluent in your native language and know some information about the forums topic. Before you provide your newly found member with moderator status, make sure to take them through a trial period. The trial period should be focused on how well they actively participate on the forum. Base the trial period on a three to five day increment. If they do well within that trial period then promote them to moderator status, but let them know that to keep that status they will need to continue to actively post and moderate the forum daily.

A lot goes into making a successful forum and the monetary benefits can be great. Make sure that you are willing to allot enough time to make a forum successful, otherwise your forum will turn into another ghost town that will eventually fall by the waste side.
